ETHOSTREAM® RELEASES EGS v3.0
EthoStream Has Introduced Its Industry-Leading EthoStream Gateway Server Version 3.0
Milwaukee, WI – January 15, 2004 - EthoStream, LLC has released its newest evolution of the EthoStream Gateway Server (EGS), version 3.0. Competing in a niche market of HSIA for hospitality, EthoStream's EGS is the only gateway device developed solely for hospitality purposes. This newest release provides numerous enhancements over previous models including a reduced form factor, software watchdog and completely motionless chassis.
EthoStream, LLC (www.ethostream.com), a leading supplier of public-access solutions, announced today that its EthoStream Gateway Server EGS v3.0 has been released for distribution. The EGS v3.0 has incorporated several cutting edge features including an ISP monitoring LED allowing property managers to quickly determine whether the Internet service line is functioning correctly. Also, a new software watchdog is able to determine whether the network or the gateway itself is experiencing any errors and automatically recycle the device to restore full operation.
The new EGS has also incorporated several new cutting edge features providing greater integration into EthoStream's industry leading RMC technology as well as a more efficient web-based setup procedure. The EGS undergoes monthly system updates in which its operating system is rewritten to include all of the newest developments and updates. In addition, the EGS's router functionality allows a property to deploy its complete solution including back-office and public access utilizing only one gateway.
